ND Health Impact Symposium

The ND Department of Health, ND Department of Commerce and ND local public health units (NDSACCHO) are excited to invite you to attend the Health Impact Symposium being held Wednesday, April 17 from 4 - 6pm in the auditorium of the Heritage Center or virtually through live video stream. The symposium will be followed by a networking mixer from 6:00-8:00 pm. The event is free of charge. 

We’ll celebrate the work that state and local leaders have done to make North Dakota a healthier state and discuss how to advance health equity in North Dakota.

Guest Speaker

Jeanne Ayers, RN, MPH, is a consultant and leader in national efforts to assure health and racial equity and
improve population health. Ayers was recently named the State Health Officer for Wisconsin and, before that, served as Assistant Commissioner and Chief Health Equity Strategist of the Minnesota Department of Health. Jeanne will create an understanding of the social determinants of health and their relationship to race, place, class and power and give participants the call to action to consider health impact in policy decisions.

Funding for the symposium is being provided in part by a small grant from County Health Rankings and Roadmaps.
